FRIENDS Manuals and Workbooks

FRIENDS is made up of publications for each of three age levels - FUN FRIENDS (4-7 years) FRIENDS for Life for Children (ages 8-11), FRIENDS for Life for Youth (ages 12-16 years). The publications feature bright colour covers and have been professionally designed and typeset for high readability and ease of use. Each child or teenager requires a FRIENDS Workbook and each Group Leader requires a FRIENDS Group Leader Manual when conducting a FRIENDS classroom session.

FRIENDS Group Leader's Manual
The FRIENDS Group Leader's Manual is a spiral-bound book with complete session guides for all 10 participant sessions, 2 booster sessions and 2 parent sessions. Designed for easy access and use, the manual includes photocopy masters of all handouts and overheads. Suggested scripts for group leaders are provided within each session as well as ideas and points to note when conducting discussions.
FRIENDS Workbook
The FRIENDS Workbook is a spine-stapled book able to be laid flat on a desk for ease of writing. Featuring especially commissioned cartoons and illustrations, the workbook encourages participants to complete exercises that reinforce the concepts covered during each session. Included also in the children's workbook is a star reward chart for completed home activities and a certificate to present to each child at the completion of the program.
Fun FRIENDS Facilitator's Guide
The FUN FRIENDS Facilitator's Guide for Building Resilience in 4 to 7 year old Children Through Play is a spiral-bound book containing 12 sessions with group activities designed to build resilience in young children. Each session provides guidelines for the group activities, handouts, and Home Practice for parents. Puppet activities are included in the appendices as well as in the Fun FRIENDS Parent's Guide.
Fun FRIENDS Parent's Guide
The Fun FRIENDS Parent's Guide for Building Resilience in 4 to 7 year-old Children Through Play is a spine-stapled book with 12 sets of activities (sessions) that teach social emotional skills and encourage fun, family bonding. The Fun FRIENDS Parent's Guide may be purchased by all parents regardless of whether their child is enrolled in a Fun FRIENDS program however involvement in groups is encouraged.
